Our Wine

Our aim is to produce consistent and approachable wines that are a testament to both the fruit and the region. This starts with the strong relationships we have formed with local Growers, who understand that quality wine starts in the vineyard.

The Angas & Bremer Rivers

Angas & Bremer takes its name from the two rivers revered as the heart and soul of our region, where vines were first planted over 150 years ago. Despite our long and distinguished history, Langhorne Creek is often regarded as Australia's best kept wine secret.

The natural floodplain nestled on the banks of the Angas & Bremer Rivers allows the vineyards to start each growing season with a root zone full of water. Collecting the runoff from the hills east of Adelaide, the naturally occurring irrigation system of our vineyards contributes to the truly unique terroir of this region. The two rivers are key ingredients to the wines of Angas & Bremer and the 'heart and soul' of Langhorne Creek.

Unlocking Langhorne Creek

A GRAPE GROWING REGION

Records show the first vines planted in the soils of Langhorne Creek as early as 1860. Today it is one of the largest grape producing regions in South Australia, with close to 6000 hectares of vineyards. Sheltered by the Mt Lofty ranges, within close proximity of the large fresh body of Lake Alexandrina, this unique geographic position has made for premium quality fruit sought after by many outside Langhorne Creek. The low, winter-dominant rainfall of the region alongside moderate day time temperatures is recipe for an ideal viticultural area.
